You can have a language school in your own home or office with this latest multimedia CD. The Thai Interactive Learning System CD-ROM combines a written, audio and visual course in one package. This CD holds a vast amount of information, 52 megabytes, to teach you to read, write, speak and understand Thai. Great for beginners and helpful if you need to improve your existing Thai.

The course is divided into a Thai writing tutorial and 30 chapters of dialog. Sound files by native Thai speakers give you the correct pronunciation. Video files show how to draw the Thai characters, with an optional microphone you can check your own spoken Thai. Thai fonts are provided on the disk for your use. You can test your progress at the end of each chapter.

This is latest version, 1.1, of Matthew Courage's Thai language course. Matthew was raised in Thailand and later became an expert on S.E. Asian languages. The first version was greeted with rave reviews from the English language press in Thailand in early 1997. Much of the early work on the course was from the US military's Thai language courses and this latest software course was prepared with the help of the Australian Defence Force School of Languages.

• Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher (doesn't need to be the Thai version as a Thai font is built in)

• IBM-compatible PC with a 80486 processor or higher

• 8 MB of RAM Memory (16MB recommended)

• CD-ROM Drive

• Windows compatible VGA graphics adapter card

• Sound card, Speakers and an optional microphone for voice recording
